Fort Pace Ranch is an all-around wonderful hunting and recreational getaway ranch. This 160 acre property is very well laid out with the main house resting on top of one of the high points of the tract overlooking the larger food plot and pond area. The areas nearby that surround the pond area and all of the lower country are extremely thick with bull mesquite and all sorts of underbrush thickets.
Up on the more elevated plateaus and hillsides there are scattered live oak, post oak, and various other hardwood trees that make great cover and add to the scenic beauty of the property. Battle Creek, a beautiful large creek, meanders across the northwest corner of Fort Pace. The high bank creek runs most of the year and always has some water standing in the big, rock-lined pools that are scattered up and down the bed. Some of the pools have fish in them and can be great fun for kids to fish in.
Large hardwoods line the banks of Battle Creek and also provide an outstanding turkey roosting area as well as plenty of canopy for all other wildlife. Hunting for whitetail deer, turkey, dove, and wild pigs is exceptional on the ranch, and because of 95% of the place having very thick timber, there are plenty of place to do so.
Rarely do you find a 160 acre tract with the ratio of good brush to open country that the Fort Pace Ranch has and the mostly live creek is a huge bonus for north Texas tract of this size! With the location of the house on the hill, large fire pit near the main camp area with huge stones to sit on and enjoy a fire in the evenings, the diverse terrain, and great fishing pond, the Fort Pace Ranch is an incredible 160 acres that has so much fun to offer over and above the incredible hunting!
