This ranch is heavily wooded with primarily mesquite cover with a few scattered live oaks in the rougher and higher elevated areas of the property. The heavy cover is perfect for holding game, especially whitetail. The Doublewide lodge is hidden from the road, but only a short drive inside the property. It will house several hunters and makes a great place to meet for the weekend or just an overnight stay.
The 30 acre food plot is a good match for the size of the ranch and draws plenty of game in the winter months. There are two ponds on the property with one being very large in size right in the middle of the property and both are also great for waterfowl hunting. With the dense cover surrounding them, it makes it easier to “jump” the ponds for duck hunting.
From the high bluff near the Northwest side of the ranch, there is a good view of the food plot and heavy timber areas below. The owner has also implemented an additional 5 acre food plot back in the back of the property for more remote hunting. The thickness of the brushes, including mesquite, underbrush, scattered hackberry and live oak, cactus, and grasses gives the ranch a South Texas feel. Quail and Dove hunting are also excellent in this area and this property has the terrain and habitat to support both.
