This ranch has a wide variety of terrain. Located near the headwaters of the West Fork of the Trinity River, the East Garrett Ranch has a number of seasonal creeks and drainages that feed into West Fork. West Fork runs along the northern edge of this property. There are thick bull mesquite and prickly pear flats on the south side of the ranch which traverse into the West Fork hardwood bottom.
In the West Fork bottom you will find live oaks, hackberries, and elms. Along the feeder creeks, there are areas with good soil to build small food plots. There is also one large stock tank, and a couple of other wet weather watering holes.
