In northern Runnels County, just 30 minutes south of Abilene, Texas
Terrain:
Terrain on the entire ranch is varied with lots of elevation and has a variety of oaks, hardwoods, cedars and mesquites. Approximately 220 acres in 4 fields for wildlife plots. There are 22 stock tanks throughout the ranch with some stocked with Florida Bass and Catfish.
Wildlife:
Whitetail deer, axis deer, elk, turkey, quail and dove. This ranch has been stocked with bucks and does from the famous Diamond D Whitetail Ranch which currently has some of the best blood lines in the state. It is typical to see 3 year old bucks in the 160″ to 175″ B&C range. With the right management plan this ranch has the genetics and potential to produce 200″+ B&C bucks.
Improvements:
The perimeter of the ranch is fenced with 8′ game proof fencing. There is a 3 bedroom 2 bath lodge, a metal barn with kitchen, bathroom, and two offices, and a nice set of working pens.
The ranch also has access to the O.H. Ivie water pipeline to provide raw water for irrigation, livestock, and wildlife if needed.
