Location:
Located in western Wichita County, 20 miles west of Wichita Falls, Texas on Highway 367 West and only 2 ½ hours from the DFW Metroplex.
Terrain:
Whisky Creek Ranch is a great multi-use hunting and cattle grazing property. The 210 acres features a good rock entry road that provides access to the middle of the tract where there are great views of the surrounding North Texas ranch country. There is a wooded deep winding creek on the west side that drains into Beaver Creek and eventually the Wichita River, a few miles to the south. These linked drainages make the ranch an ideal travel corridor for wildlife; such as Whitetail deer, turkey, and wild hog. In addition to the great hunting, the ranch also has established native grasses for cattle grazing. On the east side of the property, there is another shallower, seasonal creek. This creek would be outstanding to build a dam in for an additional water source. Some of the neighboring tracts have done this and established great ponds. Mesquite flats are the primary source of cover on the property with some scattered hackberry, soapberry, and elm trees found along the creek. Unlike some neighboring ranches, limited oil field production has preserved the majority of this property to pristine condition. Whisky Creek Ranch is an ideal sized property to enjoy ranching or outdoor opportunities with close proximity to the conveniences of city living.
Improvements:
Excellent existing fencing, one pond, onsite electricity, and Highway 367 frontage. Groundwater in this area is very limited and probably unavailable.
Wildlife:
Whitetail deer, Bobwhite quail, waterfowl, Rio Grande turkey, and dove
