Location:
Located in Wichita County 6 miles Northwest of Burkburnett, Texas accessed by Gentry Road and on the Red River.
Terrain:
The Gee Ranch is privately located at the end of Gentry Road 6 miles Northwest of Burkburnett in the Red River Valley and is a unique property primarily of rolling river bottom pasture. There are several types of vegetation such as hardwood thickets including hack berry, elm, and cottonwoods that are found scattered across the ranch as well as mesquite, plum thickets, and various underbrush. This vegetation offers a great wildlife environment but not too thick to keep sub-irrigated grasses from thriving throughout the property. The grasses are plentiful and have an abundance of growth due to the shallow water table and sub-irrigation. The water actually seeps out of the ground in several sloughs across the property that provides great waterfowl hunting. These sloughs are close to over a half mile long and reaching up to 20-30 yards wide. The Red River Valley is an excellent area for trophy whitetail, Rio Grande turkey and wild boar that travel this property! For the cattle guy this is also a great asset that raises the stocking ratio significantly. The Gee Ranch is an affordable river ranch with a majority of frontage while providing plenty of opportunities for hunting of all kinds and a livestock grazing setup.
Improvements:
Small hunting cabin, electricity, three box blinds, two feeders, two tree stands, good existing fencing, various miles of Red River frontage.
Wildlife:
Whitetail deer, turkey, wild hog, dove, waterfowl, quail, and fishing.
