The County Line Ranch is a secluded, excellent universal property with great hunting, beautiful views, and lots of recreational opportunity. It is extremely private, with no road frontage and is accessed by a private easement on the edge of a neighbor’s property.
The uneven, rugged, and elevated areas of the ranch are very scenic and provide excellent viewpoints of the valleys below. Wildlife travels these lower areas of the property due to the dense cover, prime habitat, and standing water. The two cultivated fields (food plots) are game magnets and also provide excellent winter grazing for livestock. There are two wet weather creeks that join to form one and although these creeks only run during and after rainfall, they typically pool water year round.
The two ponds on the ranch are a major water source for a variety of wildlife and livestock. With the ranch being located in a migratory flyway, these ponds are typically covered with waterfowl in the winter months. Aside from the rougher, scenic elevated areas of the ranch, there are excellent mesquite and grass flats that provide excellent bedding for wildlife and productive grazing for livestock. These areas are scattered throughout the tract and are prime for hunting. There are also quite a few hackberry scattered in the lower areas of the ranch providing good turkey roosting areas and offers a perfect environment for raising prime whitetail deer.
