The Childress 200 Getaway is a well-rounded hunting property located 13 miles Southeast of Childress, Texas. Access to the property is a short drive 1-mile South from Highway 287. The property has a useful mix of CRP type grasses and mesquite pasture to suit multiple needs of the property owner. Multiple locations exist for food plots to attract wildlife. The ranch consists of approximately 137 acres of CRP type grassland. The remainder of the property consists of heavy growth mesquite pockets that provide cover for wildlife in the area. The center of the property holds a year-round watering station for wildlife that doubles as an incredible dove hunting spot come September. It is not uncommon to see 50+ deer on cold afternoons traveling through this property and heading to the large wheat field that borders it on the East. Many deer also bed on this property in the winter months to stay close to this food source. This past season a 10-point scoring 154” was killed with a bow. Two county roads on the East and South side provide easy access to the property. Barbed wire fencing is in good condition with a pipe cattle guard entrance located on County Road 25.
